Girls are in school in the morning while we are working/packing up camp. We are off to Bozeman in the afternoon, so, we are saying good
bye to Yellow Stone. What a glorious place. Girls (and I) don’t want to leave.
We raise our sail once again and drive couple of hours with a stop by yellow stone river for girls to have a little swim and for me to have a work meeting.
We stop once again for Sol’s weekly Bridge game on the outskirts of town. In Bozeman we are seeing family who graciously offered us to drop anchor on their driveway. We arrive to a full dinner for and have a lovely evening catching up. We are eternally thankful for the dinner and a nice real shower! Girls meet their big Montana cousins for the first time and Darwin meets three golden retrievers just as energetic as he is. He does not know what to make of it, so, he he does the lab thing and is hunting everyone’s dinner for the night.
Laine, one of the cousins, is an avid rock climber who offers us free day pass to local climbing gym. We do just that next morning and girls are elated to climb with their big cousin. I work while watching them.
In the afternoon, after receiving a generous helping of vegetables from the garden, we lift up sail once again hoping to arrive in Custer, SD that night. We do not quite make it and stop at the rest area on the way.
The rest stop comes with an added bonus of play ground and a lovely sunset, so, girls play to their heart’s desire while I make dinner.
We have our family dinner in style – I mean… mac’n’cheese on the parking lot style.
